Oddly I’ve been ok with most of the other shots of this profile when looking down on it... But the shots in this thread looking up at it ruined everything. Bleh. Still sporty and different though!

Looks like a good enough interior but I always prefer embedded screens to the stuck-on tablets. Not enough of a problem to write off the car though.

I was about to ask why Toyota would risk damaging their (bullshit) reputation that their cars are bulletproof and cheap. But, then I remembered, they won’t sell any of these. And for the ones that they do sell the owners will be in constant denial.

“No, oil changes on this don’t cost $150. It uses the same oil as Corolla.”

“No, the brakes don’t cost $1,000 to change on the Supra. The rotors last forever and brake pads are $20.”

Meh. It’s a GT86 on steroids. Wish they’d built more of a GTR fighter. The MKIV is less busy, sleeker, wider, and longer - a far better looking Supra.

Oh I love reading all the salty comments from people who were never going to buy one anyways. The A80 sold was also very expensive and deemed too heavy back when it came out. As for the new Supra I actually think it looks okay. Let’s see what the aftermarket will do with it.

Obviously I could never afford new. But I w onder how the resale would be, If it has 382 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque in the 6 cylinder version like the Z4 then it should be a good used buy if you can tune it . Still wont beat the American pony cars in HP and performance pe r Dollar used.

That would make the future LC-F redundant, wouldn’t it? It’s a great upgrade for those looking to trade in their 370Z and don’t want to be another Mustang/Camaro driver or to spend over a hundred grand on a GT-R . Also, I take this will incentivize Nissan to replace the ancient Z, when they get new management.

Of course it’s no match for neither the Mustang, Camaro or Challenger in terms of bang for the buck but like you said it could be a promising used buy in a couple of years. Time will tell I guess.

I think it looks pretty cool overall but that line on the side that goes from the rear fender into the side scoop and then ending in that weird door curve/bump is strange.

Good points. I see it as being too expensive and it won’t sell or be produced enough to make a big impact. If it was cheaper we’d see it potentially replacing the Z in popularity.

I was holding out for one for a little, until the news about automatics and the ugly spy shots came out a while ago. Plus b58 vs s55 was a bit disappointment.

Nothing on the market in this range looked all that great. So instead we got the fiance’s truck since she was also due for a car. Would have rather spent the 60k we sp ent on the truck on a manual s55 Supra.

BMW M2 was ok and likely the best option . But fiance didnt like the proportions, interior, etc. I thought it just felt heavy for a relatively small car. Plus the competition was already called for everywhere I asked.

That center console looks like it was designed for the right hand drive market. Hard to tell without seeing it from the side but where it sweeps up might be a bit an noying for a left hand driver trying to get to the shifter or cupholders .

Believe it has 340, tuned a bit different than the BMW 6 pot. I’m sure some quick tuning would make it the same. It’s got basically the same power and weight as the Z4M coupe from the mid 00’s
